Here’s what we’ve paid for a range of model years, from 2006 to 2014. The numbers show that age isn’t everything. Our highest payout was $6,000 for a 2013 RX, while the newest car on the list, a 2014, brought just $1,000 because it was badly damaged. Condition made the biggest difference, but it wasn’t the only factor. Our 2008 model with left-side damage fetched $2,500, well below the 2009 at $3,795, even though the two cars are only a year apart.
