I checked around 64 listings for the Audi A5 and found this 2018 diesel model with only 63,565 km on the clock. The condition was great, and it came in just under the $20K budget at $ 19,990, so it was an easy decision.
A 2021 model was tempting, but at around $59,995, it was more than double the price, which didn’t make sense for me.
I’ve always leaned toward diesel, especially with fuel costs continuing to rise. Diesel engines deliver strong torque at low RPM, which makes highway driving noticeably smoother. They also tend to be more fuel-efficient than petrol equivalents on longer runs.
