The Audi A3 is a compact family car manufactured since 1996. The first Audi A3 generation, known as Typ 8L, was launched in 1996 and shared many parts with the Volkswagen Golf MK4. The second generation, Typ 8P, was launched from 2003 to 2013 and featured an upgraded premium hatchback with a more luxurious design. The third generation, Typ 8V, was manufactured from 2012 to 2020, which comes with lighter, better-equipped and better fuel efficiency than previous models. The fourth generation was unveiled in 2019 and is still present today. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic at that time, this model was launched online. It is available as both new and used models in the New Zealand automotive market.
