The Ford Transit is a commercial cargo van manufactured since 1965. The first generation, known as the Ford Transit Custom Camper, was produced from 1965 to 1977. The second generation, called the Ford Tourneo, was manufactured from 1986 to 2000. The third generation was introduced in 2000, followed by the fourth generation in 2014 and is still available. The fifth generation was launched in 2023 and is still present. The current generation introduced a major shift with a front-wheel-drive/all-wheel-drive unibody platform, replacing the older rear-wheel-drive body-on-frame design, and brought significant improvements in fuel efficiency, cargo capacity, and technology. Available in multiple roof heights, body lengths, and powertrain options. The Transit has become one of the world’s best-selling commercial vans, widely used for cargo, passenger, and camper vans. Both new and used models are available in New Zealand. Here are the prices.
